Sharing Thoughts


“How are you?”

It’s a simple question consisting of three words. And these three words, when put together, can either make or break you. It’s a simple question which everyone can answer, but it all comes down to how genuine you will answer it.

“I am fine”, “I am okay”, “I am happy”….

These are the most comment answers to the question above… But let’s think on it a bit. Does everyone really answer to how they really feel the moment they are asked? Someone, while sad, won’t admit to others what that problem is. A broken person won’t fully admit it either… I guess, this is human nature, we always build this image. We play pretend. That we are strong, always got it together… even when the truth is quite the opposite. We crave for genuine happiness, so we try to convince ourselves every waking moment, every day, that we are okay…

So… “How are you really? Are you really happy?”

And this is my question to you. Are you happy? Sad? Something in between?

Whatever fleeting emotion you’re experiencing right now, while reading this know that it’s alright. You are entitled to feel what you feel. You are meant to have emotions, no matter if they are good or bad.

However, remember this. In the end of the day, it all comes down to how you choose to handle these emotions. We can all be happy… But every day, you choose what to be. You choose the people you wish to be around. You choose to do something that will build you more as a person. You choose love. You choose happiness.

Happiness is a choice. A choice you have to make every day. It’s up to you.
