Flower Power

One of your priorities should be putting yourself first and trying to find time to slow down. In our days, the worldis fast paced and schedules are busy with responsibilities. With all the hustle and bustle, you still owe it to yourself to find a bit of time and slow down. Take a breath!

Apparently, there are various ways to do so. You can start with a positive disposition. Exercise. Or simply letting your emotions out in a way.

Surprisingly enough, flowers can also come to the rescue as such times. They can help facilitate the healing process your mind and body might need. Thankfully, there are many ways to acquire a beautiful bouquet or a flower pot for your home. Here are some ways you can use these beauties:

  1. Decor. There is no doubt flowers can add color and transform any room in your house into one with a vibe. A living and inviting vibe. A daily interaction with flowers and plants can have a positive effect on you. Simply put, it lifts your mood. So… the next time you head out, grab a bunch of flowers from your local flourist!
  2. Detoxifiers. Toxins come from everyday objects. Household objects too. Believe it or not, this has an effect on your mental wellbeing. If you want cleaner air for a clearer mind, there are specific blooms that do their fair share of making your day less toxic. Chrysanthemums or peace lilies are my personal favorites.
  3. Boost your immune system. Do you feel like you’re catching a cold? Give your immune system some loving and stock up on some flowers. Some variants are known for helping gainst a cold. Dandelions are great for a cough.
  4. Sleep inducer. We all know how a good self care routine includes a good night’s sleep. On certain days, however, stress can keep you up. In such days, you can certainly trust your flower friends. Chamomile flowers and leaves can easily be turned into a DIY tea infusion and there are easy to find.
  5. Aromatherapy. Essential oils derived from certain plants have several benefits. Effects include relief from muscle pain, reducing of inflammation and skin irritations.
  6. Natural cleansers. Add a few petals in your warm bath setup and give your skin extra nourishments.
  7. Hobby starters. No matter what you are recovering from or if you simply need a new hobby, flowers can be a source of inspiration. You can start flower arrangement or created your own collection of pieces in the garden or balcony.
